Farewell 2024, year of innovation at Robinsun

Dear customers, as it is the last day of 2024, we are happy to say that this year has been a remarkable journey of innovation for us at Robinsun. We sincerely thank you for your trust and support. And we wish you a wonderful new year in advance. Before we enter the new year, we want to walk you through our innovations throughout 2024.

Solar panels

Throughout the year, we have been constantly upgrading the solar panels we use for our solar kits. With every upgrade we improved output, and managed to lower the prices of our kits. Earlier this year we first launched the Aiko 445 Wp Neostar 1S Mono-Glass panel, at the time the most advanced in the market. During the summer we upgraded to the Aiko 455 Wp Neostar 2S with an increase in capacity and further improved ABC technology. Robinsun has been the first company in Southern Europe to introduce the latest generation Aiko solar panels that are the best on the market at the moment and also extremely elegant.

We also introduced a 440 Wp bifacial solar panel from QN Solar in October, an upgrade of the previous 420 Wp version we had introduced at the end of 2023. Bifacial solar panels can reach up to a 30% increase in production, creating more savings for you. We constantly search for the best solar panels possible on the market for you to maximize your production.

Battery systems

We made a great leap in batteries this year. We upgraded the  Zendure Solar Flow system to the bigger DZ2000 battery. Then in October, we launched the Anker Solarbank series including Solarbank E1600, Solarbank 2 Plus, Solarbank 2 Pro, Solarbank expansion battery, and the smart meter. The Anker system is significantly more advanced than the comparable Zendure system and has a lower price point. In November, we added the Tsun DCU-1000 to our portfolio. This modular 1 kWh battery system can be expanded to up to 5 kWh, is ideal for owners of existing plugin solar kits and has an excellent price/kWh ratio. You can find batteries that suit your needs, whether you want a basic storage with 2 solar panels or larger storage capacity with more production.

Solar kits Plus

In October we started our Performance Plus solar kits to answer the many requests for larger installations and bigger savings by our customers. We offer solar kits with 4, 6, or 8 solar panels. We have options with both Mono-Glass solar panels and bifacial solar panels.

Mounts

We introduced several new installation mounts for solar kits this year. Earlier in 2024 we launched solar kits for tile roofs, with 2 different variants (bolted or with tile hook). This opens up many installation options on existing roofs, with the simplicity of a plugin solar kit and the quality of Robinsun’s components. In the summer, the “Made in Germany” Solar Hook mount was introduced. It perfectly fits any balcony railings and is easy to install in minutes. We also updated our solar kits for walls a few weeks ago, with a wall mount from Corigy that is more flexible, allowing you to change the angle of the solar panels and absorbs the most of the sunlight.

Cables

We vastly expanded our cable offering this year. We extended the only option of 5m Schuko Betteri cable to 6 options, ranging from 3 up to 25 meters. This allows you to choose a cable that fits your installation location perfectly, without the need of potentially unsafe extension cables. We also added the Betteri extension cable, that allows you to connect several micro inverters in a daisy chain. And we provide more options for MC4 extension cables in 1, 2, 3, 5 meters, in case you install your panels further away from your micro inverter or battery system.

Certifications (Spain only)

We started to offer the certification service for plugin solar kits in Spain this year at the beginning of 2024, to allow our spanish customers to get compensated for surplus energy from their power companies in an easy and inexpensive way. Later in the year we extended this service also to bigger solar kits of up to 8 panels then we launched the bigger solar kits.

Deliveries

Early in 2024 we started a new relationship with CTT Express for deliveries in continental Spain and Portugal. In the past months we also launched an express delivery service with them. Our incident rate has dropped dramatically, and our delivery time is now at under 48h from dispatch on average. In the past month the percentage of orders delivered in under 24h has steadily increased.

For our customers on the Balearic and Canary islands we have also found two very reliable and fast local delivery companies that have made shipping to the island as easy and hassle-free as on the mainland.

Trustpilot & testimonials

To give customers a reference of other customers’ experience with Robinsun as a company as well as our service and products, we opened our profile on Trustpilot and started to collect reviews. We close this year with well over 100 reviews and an average score of 4,8 stars, an excellent result that reflects our customers’ satisfaction. And to make this customer satisfaction more visible, we also published a lot of pictures of our customers’ installations from all over Southern Europe.

Conclusion

2024 has been a fruitful year for Robinsun that has vastly expanded our product and services range. We brought more performant, more affordable, more versatile solar kits to the market, made batteries affordable and flexible for smaller installations and showed how with a lot of effort you can deliver excellent value to customers and create a “wow” effect with best in class service.

In 2025, rest assured that we will continue our journey with more innovation and service, product news and several surprises for you.
